1. What are the System Requirements to use the Diamond Rio 300 Player plug-in with RealJukebox 2?
Solution: To use the Diamond Rio 300 Player with RealJukebox 2, in addition to the RealJukebox system requirements you must have:
- Windows 95 or 98
- A parallel port connection
- Diamond Rio 300 Player
2. How do I install the Diamond Rio 300 Player plug-in for RealJukebox 2?
Solution: Before RealJukebox 2 can access your Diamond Rio 300 Player, you must install the device plug-in. RealJukebox 2 may need to download the plug-in from the RealNetworks website if one is not already installed on your computer. You must be connected to the Internet in order for RealJukebox 2 to download plug-ins.
The following steps guide you through the installation process.Note: While device drivers needed to run the Diamond Rio 300 with RealJukebox install with the plug-in, we recommend installing the latest updates available from Diamond.
- Connect your Rio 300 Player to the computer.
- Start RealJukebox 2.
- Click the Help Menu and choose Check for Update.
- Choose the Diamond Rio 300 Player from the list.
- Click the Get It Now button.
3. How do I transfer songs to my Diamond Rio 300 Player?
Solution: Using the following steps, select the desired songs and then transfer them from RealJukebox 2 to your Diamond Rio 300 Player:
- Start RealJukebox 2.
- Click the Devices button on the Navigation Bar.
- Double-click Diamond Rio 300.
- Click a storage device listed under the portable device (e.g., Rio Internal).

- Click the Add Tracks button on the right.
- Choose songs from the Master Library or the Playlists in the Browse dialog box.
-Use Shift-click to select a range of songs.
-Use Ctrl-Click to select several individual songs.- Click the Add Tracks button.
- Click the Close button when you are done choosing songs.
- Click the Begin Transfer button on the right to being transferring your tracks.
Note: Tracks labeled "Will Not Fit" will not transfer. This is because there is not enough space left on the portable device for the song.
RealJukebox will transfer the songs you have selected, displaying a progress bar in the Transfer Status area:

4. Who should I contact for help if I am having problems transferring songs to my Diamond Rio 300 with RealJukebox 2?
Solution: First, try to isolate the cause of the problem. Is the problem specifically with the Rio player or with RealJukebox 2? The answer will direct you to the correct source for assistance.
Try transferring songs to your Rio with the most recent RioPort Audio Manager software from Diamond. The RioPort Audio Manager software is the new version of the Rio Audio Manager software that came with the Rio 300.
The Diamond Rio 300 Player plug-in for RealJukebox 2 and RioPort Audio Manager software use the same core engine. Updating the RioPort software can often fix problems in RealJukebox. You can download the latest RioPort software from http://www.rioport.com.
If you are unable to transfer songs with the newest version of the RioPort Audio Manager software, there may be a problem with the Rio core engine. For assistance troubleshooting the Rio core engine, please contact RioPort technical support at http://www.rioport.com/RioDoctor.
If you can transfer songs to your Rio player with the RioPort software, but not RealJukebox 2, temporarily use the RioPort software to transfer your songs until you can contact RealNetworks technical support for help with RealJukebox 2.
